"The 2022 Rol Valentin is a heady, sensual wine. Silky, aromatic and fleshy, the 2022 has a lot to offer. Crushed flowers, spice, mocha and a hint of sweet oak lead into a core of dark blue/black fruit. Deep and yet also restrained the 2022 offers fine balance, but a bit less extroverted than it has been in the recent past. Tasted two times."

"Vivid purple-hued, with lots of red and black cherry fruits as well as notes of chalky minerality and chocolate, the 2022 Château Rol Valentin is medium to full-bodied and has a nicely balanced, mouth-filling texture, a terrific sense of freshness, and outstanding length. It's certainly up with the finest vintages I've tasted here and might be a match for the 2018 when all is said and done. Tasted twice with consistent notes"
