Les Baudes is one of the 24 Premier Cru vineyards of the commune of Chambolle-Musigny. The commune is unique in the Côte de Nuits for its soils: chalky over hard bedrock, which stresses the vines. This Pinot Noir wine is fermented in vats for up to 4 weeks, then aged 18 to 20 months in oak barrels before bottling.

"Medium deep crimson. The nose is very forthcoming, quite Chambolle in style which is not always the case with Baudes. On the palate one can find a bit more of the wilder more structured aspect of the proximity to Morey. A mix of fresher and darker red fruit, some tannins to finish. Drink from 2030-2036."
