"The 2022 Marsannay Clos du Roy (Domaine Gagey) bursts with aromas of spicy cherries and smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and seamless palate that's animated by tangy acids. It will drink well out of the gates."

"The 2022 Marsannay Clos du Roy is one of the most backward reds from Jaclot in barrel, but I managed to eke out some attractive raspberry, crushed strawberry and sous-bois aromas that look promising. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, well-judged acidity and a surprisingly dense finish just needing to forage a little more mineralite. Good potential, but it will require 3 or 4 years in bottle."
