Reviews:

"This is layered and creamy with dried apricot and lemon curd with some candied lemon as well. Medium to full body, with lots of tangy fruit and crisp acidity. Lemon tart and sea shell undertones. Drink or hold."

94 Decanter

"(00 Wines, VGW, Chardonnay, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA, White) The current vintage of the 00 Very Good White (VGW) from 00 is a classic wine with lemony fruit aromas and a hint of acacia flower. There is some oak spice and a bit of reduction, but overall, the wine is elegant and balanced, and nothing seems exaggerated. The grapes are a blend of three Willamette Valley sites, mainly from the upper slopes of Seven Springs. They are foot-trod and firmly pressed before fermentation in French casks (29% new) and aged 12 months in a barrel and six more in the tank. This wine drinks well now but has the substance to improve with mid-term ageing. (Drink between 2024-2045)"

"(00 Wines Chardonnay VGW Oregon White) The 2021 Chardonnay VGW is dusty and floral, with a nuanced bouquet of lemon oils, nectarine and crushed stone. It’s soft and luxuriously round. Stimulating acidity balances a pretty inner sweetness as mineral-tinged orchard fruits saturate the palate. This finishes long and sapid with a spicy tension as hints of candied citrus slowly fade. The balance within is absolutely fantastic. If served blind, my mind would immediately go to Premier Cru white Burgundy. (Drink between 2024-2029)" ~ Eric Guido

94 Jeb Dunnuck

"A ripe youthful yellow hue, the 2021 Chardonnay VGW is fantastic out of the gates, with ripe aromas of white smoke, lemon balm, salty earth, and white peach. From all volcanic soils, the 2021 Chardonnay VGW is ripe through the palate with generous notes of salted pineapple fruit and a rounded feel, although it’s clean as a whistle and has a fresh lift of acidity. It is drinking wonderfully now and will drink well over the next 5-7 years."
