Bordeaux Futures 2021 estimated arrival Summer 2024
95-96 James Suckling
"Fantastic energy and length to this young Sauternes, with dried-apple, apple-pie, spice and cinnamon character . Medium body, medium sweetness and a vibrant finish."
95 Jane Anson
"Great quality, bright and concentrated, dried apricots, mandain peel, fig, pineapple and candied ginger, with a touch of bitterness and a mouthwatering finish. This is gorgeous, one to look out for."
93-95 Neal Martin for Vinous
"The 2021 Coutet needs time to cohere in the glass, eventually offering scents of dried honey, pressed flowers and quince. It just needs a little more pizzazz. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity and good weight and tension, showing the energy that is slightly lacking on the nose at the moment. Maybe it could benefit from more unctuousness on the finish, but this remains an enjoyable Barsac that will gain complexity with bottle age."
95 Lisa Perrotti-Brown for The Wine Independent
"Pale lemon-gold in color, the 2019 Coutet sashays out with vibrant lime cordial, lemonade, and grapefruit oil notes followed by suggestions of fresh hay, powdered ginger, and honeyed toast. The palate is rich and decadent with an amazing line of freshness and a very long, spice-sparked finish."
